Kids (and kids-at-heart) Dance Workshop Giorgia Schijf + Minni Karamfiles

Get ready for an awesome experience with Enneagon Movement's 2-day dance workshop experience! Over two action-packed days, you'll dive into 2 x 4-hour workshops that will lead to a 5-10 minute performance as the curtain warmer for ‘Ignorance was Bliss’.

This is your chance to unleash your creativity by exploring concepts like nostalgia, memories, childhood, and happiness—all through the magic of movement. 

Each workshop kicks off with a fun warmup, followed by exciting movement games and tasks. Then, you'll team up with Enneagon Movement's professional artists to choreograph an amazing short dance piece in just 8 hours!

Imagine the excitement of performing your own dance creation alongside professional dancers! This is a one-of-a-kind experience that's perfect for any kid who loves to dance, move, and create. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to shine on stage!

Suitable for young people ages 10-17. Adults are also welcome to attend- the perfect parent-child holiday activity for families who love to dance!!

The program will occur at 2 locations over 2 different dates:

WORKSHOP 1

WHEN: Thursday 3 October 2-6pm

WHERE: Albany Contemporary Dance (ALBANY)

WORKSHOP 2

WHEN: Sunday 6 October 1:30pm-5:30pm

WHERE: Denmark ArtsHouse (DENMARK)

ADDRESS: 2A Strickland Street Denmark (building on the lefthand side/ behind Denmark CRC, if facing the CRC building entry. Parking at building reserved for people with disabilities. If you do not require accessible parking, please park in CRC parking lot and walk up the hill.)

The workshops will work towards and culminate in a 5-10 performance prior to the opening of 'Ignorance was Bliss' at Denmark Civic Centre on SUNDAY 6 October. 

IMPORTANT

To attend the workshop and particpate in the performance, attendees must be available for both days of the workshop.

The co-locations were chosen so that Denmark kids only have to travel once, and vice versa for Albany participants- allowing our emerging lovers of dance to expand their local community and meet like minded young people!

Ticketing:

$ 35 for those with Denmark Arts YOUTH or MEMBER memberships  

$ 40 for Denmark Arts MATES and non-members 

( 1 x ticket to attend both workshops. Not 1 ticket per workshop (so it's roughly $17.50-$20 per workshop/per day)

Tickets must be pre-purchased to guarantee attendance, they may not be available on-the-day.
